![]() On the whole, SecureCRT should be considered as an alternative in some situations, especially if you are too invested in Procomm already. It supports some scripting, VT220/VT320 emulation, upload/download files, access the admin console for Meridian Mail. It works well enough for 98% of our day to day needs. In the end, we had to migrate to SecureCRT as an alternative. It was/is some fantastic software, but sooner or later, it will be more hassle to keep running than looking for a replacement. By supporting over 30 different terminals, it lets you access almost any host system you can imagine. Windows XP SP2 was the last officially supported version of Windows to use with Procomm Plus. Procomm Plus gives you unsurpassed versatility and reliability for terminal emulation and file transfers. The sad truth is that Procomm Plus is old and no longer sold/supported/updated. ![]() Part of the issue for us was that on firm-provided computers, end-users were no longer "local administrators" over their own computer.
